I was born in Uttaradit province, located in the north of Thailand. My primary and secondary schools were Phichai school and Uttaradit school, respectively. I studied a bachelor degree in Biology at Chiang Mai University (1998-2002) under a scholarship of The Institute for The Promotion of Teaching Science and Technology, Thailand. My undergraduate project title was 'Effect of concentration and dipping time of ascorbic acid on browning, peroxidase and polyphenol oxidase activity in sliced guava' under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Dr. Kobkiat Saengnil.

In 2003, I began my career as a biology teacher at Mahidol Wittayanusorn School, Nakhon Pathom province. Then, in 2006 I was rewarded a scholarship from the Royal Thai Government to further my study at University of Sussex, UK.  At the University of Sussex, I conducted research entitled 'Bypass flow and sodium transport in rice (Oryza sativa L.)' under the supervision of Prof. Timothy J. Flowers and Dr. Mohammed J. Al-Azzawi. I completed my PhD in 2011 and continued my career at Mahidol Wittayanusorn School.
